Are you “Vacation Ready”?
Planning a cruise or beach getaway? Heading to the mountains or traveling abroad? Don’t let a minor illness derail your well-deserved vacation.
Many common travel issues—like motion sickness, swimmer’s ear, stomach bugs, yeast or bladder infections, or altitude sickness—can quickly turn a dream trip into a stressful experience. Even minor illnesses can become expensive and difficult to treat when you’re far from home or outside your insurance network.
Our “Vacation Ready” Consult helps you prepare for the most common travel-related health issues before you leave. During this visit, we’ll discuss your destination and travel plans and provide guidance and prescriptions when appropriate so you can handle minor problems quickly and confidently while away.
This service is designed to help prevent and manage common minor illnesses that frequently occur during travel. It is not a substitute for emergency care. If symptoms are severe, persistent, or worsening despite treatment, you should seek medical attention at your destination. Travel health or medical evacuation insurance is often recommended for additional protection.
While no one can predict when illness might strike, being prepared can give you peace of mind and help keep your vacation on track.
If you’re traveling to popular destinations such as Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, or going on a cruise, make sure you and your family are ready.
Payment Information:
This is a direct pay practice, which means we do not bill insurance for physician services. However, the fee for this physician consultation is fully eligible for HSA payment or HRA reimbursement. Major credit or debit cards are also accepted. Any prescription medications provided should be covered as usual by your insurance plan at your pharmacy of choice. If you don’t have insurance or have a high deductible and anticipate a large co-pay, you may choose to use a low-cost cash-based mail-order pharmacy, and those payments are also typically HSA/HRA eligible.
🌊 Don’t risk your vacation to preventable or manageable illnesses.
